ACADEMIC STUDY TOUR TO SUNWAY UNIVERSITY, MALAYSIA (2026):
A JOURNEY OF KNOWLEDGE AND INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

From January 13 to January 18, 2026, Can Tho University Elite High School successfully organized an academic study tour to Sunway University, Malaysia. This program was a key initiative in advancing the school’s goal of developing a high-quality educational model and creating opportunities for international exchange for students.

Valuable Learning Experiences in an International Academic Environment

During the six-day, five-night program, the delegation—comprising two accompanying teachers (Ms. Huỳnh Thị Thúy Diễm, Vice Principal, and Mr. Lâm Minh Huy, Deputy Secretary of the School Youth Union) and 21 outstanding students from Grades 10, 11, and 12—participated in a wide range of meaningful and enriching academic activities.

At Sunway University, students:

• Joined guided tours of the university’s modern campus;
• Took part in interactive academic activities with lecturers and international students;
• Gained comprehensive insights into academic programs, admission requirements, and the dynamic extracurricular activities offered to Sunway students.

The study tour not only enabled students to explore potential pathways for overseas study after graduation, but also provided a practical environment for enhancing foreign language proficiency (English and Chinese) as well as developing teamwork and collective living skills.

Exploring Malaysian Culture and People

In addition to academic engagement, the delegation immersed themselves in Malaysia’s rich cultural landscape through visits to well-known landmarks, including:

• Putrajaya New City and the iconic Pink Mosque;
• The vibrant capital city of Kuala Lumpur;
• Thien Hau Temple, along with opportunities to experience local specialties at renowned chocolate outlets.

These activities contributed to a deeper understanding of Malaysia’s cultural diversity, history, and social life.

Strong Institutional Support and Investment

The success of the study tour was ensured through careful preparation by the school at every stage, including strategic planning, budget allocation, and close coordination with the travel service provider. Notably, in order to encourage academic excellence, the school granted special financial support to student Nguyễn Thành Phát, the top scorer in the Grade 10 entrance examination for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Building Future Connections

Beyond the personal experiences of participating students, the success of this academic study tour has strengthened cooperative ties and fostered long-term collaboration between Can Tho University Elite High School and Sunway University, Malaysia.

The school firmly believes that the knowledge, skills, and international exposure gained from this program will serve as valuable assets, enabling students to move forward with greater confidence on their path toward global integration.
