B1K13 – THE FINAL FLAG-RAISING DUTY

A DANCE ON THE FIELD: ECHOES FROM OUR FINAL FLAG-RAISING DUTY AS STUDENTS

2026 - a truly special year, one that has left us with countless emotions and unforgettable memories. If the world has its thrilling football festivals, then here at Can Tho University Elite High School, B1K13 had a memorable “match” of our own — our final flag-raising duty of our student years.

The program began with small, heartfelt gifts from B1K13 to our teachers — the people who have quietly guided us and walked alongside us throughout our journey of growing up. In particular, the B1K13 class would like to express our deepest gratitude to Ms. Tran Thi Thu Hang, who has always been there to guide, listen to, and accompany all 44 of us throughout our years at school. Thank you for being such a wonderful homeroom teacher and such a beautiful part of B1K13’s youth.

Whenever we talk about Can Tho University Elite High School, it is impossible not to mention the “Chung Sống” group dance — a performance that has become familiar and deeply associated with our school. During this final flag-raising duty, B1K13 once again brought its melodies and dance moves to the school courtyard, as a way of preserving something dear to us that has now become a cherished memory.

Before immersing everyone in the excitement of the World Cup atmosphere, we invited everyone into a gentler and more reflective moment with two familiar songs, “Người Tình Mùa Đông” and “Giải Cứu Thế Giới.” Their melodies echoed across the school courtyard, carrying a touch of emotion and nostalgia, before those feelings gradually gave way to the energetic performances that followed.

And of course, a B1K13 flag-raising duty would never be complete without fun and laughter-filled quizzes. The questions, the unexpected answers, and everyone’s enthusiastic participation made the school courtyard more lively than ever.

The program came to an exciting close with an energetic dance inspired by the spirit of the World Cup. The powerful movements and vibrant energy transformed the school courtyard into a very special “football field” of our own. There was no opening whistle and no scoreboard, but we still had cheers, running feet, and an atmosphere filled with fiery energy — more than enough to create a “match” that we may never forget.

Our World Cup-themed flag-raising duty came to an end, leaving behind laughter, applause, and countless unforgettable moments. But perhaps what made this occasion truly special was not the energetic performances, but the fact that we were all here together — taking part in B1K13’s final flag-raising duty.

From the early days when we were still unfamiliar with everything around us at school, to this moment when we stood in the school courtyard with years of memories behind us, B1K13 suddenly realized just how quickly youth has passed.

Today may have been just another flag-raising duty. The dancing may eventually stop, the music may come to an end, and the school courtyard may return to its familiar mornings. But someday, when we look back, we will remember that we once had a youth that was so vibrant, so lively, and so full of love for one another.

Perhaps the most beautiful part of youth is not that we achieved something extraordinary, but that we once stood together beneath the same sky, laughed together, sang together, danced together, and created memories that we will never be able to recreate in quite the same way again.

B1K13 would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the teachers of Can Tho University Elite High School — those who have always devoted themselves to guiding, supporting, and accompanying us, helping make our school years some of the most beautiful chapters of our youth.

Thank you, teachers, for giving us a school where we could grow, a sky under which we could dream, a place where we could be ourselves, and so many memories that, wherever life takes us, will always bring a smile to our faces whenever we look back.
