ORGANIZATION OF EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING ACTIVITIES FOR GRADE 10, 11, AND 12 STUDENTS

ACADEMIC YEAR 2025–2026

In accordance with the Ministry of Education and Training’s policy on implementing the subject Experiential Learning and Career Orientation in the general education curriculum, on January 9 and 10, 2026, Can Tho University Elite High School successfully organized experiential learning activities for Grade 10, 11, and 12 students in the 2025–2026 academic year. The program was attended by nearly 650 students, along with representatives of the School Board, homeroom teachers, school staff, and representatives of the Parents’ Association.

According to the plan, Grade 10 students participated in experiential activities in Ha Tien, visiting notable sites such as Thach Dong Cave, the Mac Cuu Mausoleum, and Phu Dung Pagoda. Grade 11 students explored destinations in Tien Giang and Ben Tre, including Dong Tam Snake Farm and traditional coconut-based handicraft villages. Meanwhile, Grade 12 students took part in experiential learning activities in Phan Thiet, with visits to Duc Thanh School, dragon fruit gardens, and traditional fish sauce production facilities.

Through these experiential activities, students had valuable opportunities to connect classroom knowledge with real-life practices related to history, culture, society, and the economy of the southern provinces of Viet Nam. Direct visits to historical and cultural relics, scenic sites, and production facilities enabled students to gain deeper insights into the historical significance of the Southern region, the nation’s patriotic traditions, the value of labor, creativity, and the application of science and technology in socio-economic development.

In addition to academic benefits, the trip contributed significantly to the development of students’ life skills through collective activities, group living, cultural exchanges, and wholesome recreational games. Students were able to cultivate discipline, a sense of responsibility, compliance with regulations, communication and cooperation skills, as well as solidarity within the school community. Furthermore, the experiential program helped foster students’ love for their homeland, national pride, and awareness of preserving the image and reputation of Can Tho University Elite High School.

Throughout the program, safety, student management, and adherence to the itinerary were strictly ensured by the Organizing Committee, accompanying teachers, and relevant coordinating units. The trip was carried out as planned and with absolute safety, leaving positive impressions on students, parents, and participating staff.

At the conclusion of the experiential activities, each class continued to complete a reflective product in the form of a video documenting the journey, memorable moments of collective activities, and students’ reflections. This contributed to enhancing the effectiveness of teaching and learning in the subject Experiential Learning and Career Orientation.

The experiential learning activities in the 2025–2026 academic year represent a meaningful educational initiative that contributes to the comprehensive development of students’ qualities and competencies, while also demonstrating the school’s commitment to educational innovation and to linking learning with real-life experiences.
