M.A. Nguyen Thanh Phong (President of THSP Psychology Club) and participants

Over the last few years, mental-related problems have become a hot topic, especially among teenagers. When they enter puberty, they can feel many psychological transitions happen in their body, which changes their thinking about love, life, the future, and so on. Although those shifts are natural and normal, it is sometimes hard for youngsters to find the right answer to all of their curiosity in this period and the right way to deal with the problems that occur during puberty.

Understanding those challenges, THSP Psychology Club was born with wanting to listen, share and help teenagers who are facing challenges that need to be solved. In order to effectively do that mission, our club has arranged a meaningful talkshow that gives advice to students who are encountering those problems.

With the slogan “OPEN YOUR MENTAL DOOR TO EXPLORE YOUR INNER-SELF”, this is the first talkshow organized for THSP-ers, creating opportunities for students to share their personal ideas, thus raising their awareness about mental health in puberty, nourish their soul, and also find the answer to all of their inquiries.

The talkshow took place on 14/12/2022, in room 202, CETL building, Can Tho university, with the involvement of teachers, THSP-ers, and our special guest - Ph.D. Nguyen Thi Bich Phuong (Psychology Department, School Of Education). During the event, we discussed and gave participants useful knowledge about various problems like menstruation, romantic relationships, self-reflection, and so for. The atmosphere was energetic, happy, and active. Students seized the opportunities to speak out their own perspectives about the problems, enthusiastically take part in exciting games and express their problems directly to the expert, so that we can find the most suitable solutions for them.

Participants are excited to play “mentally discovering games”

In the near future, we will try our best to create more talkshows with an array of topics so that THSP-ers can be well-equipped with realistic and practical psychological knowledge. Therefore, our club hopes that we can become a compass to help students who get lost in their difficulties in mental problems, romantic relationships, study, or job choices. At the same time, we will try our best to help students improve their mental health, thinking about love, so that they can have the “mental key” to achieve their goals and make their dreams come true.

Having great time drawing mindmap “The tree of love”
