OPENING CEREMONY OF THE SCHOOL YEAR 2024-2025

On the morning of September 5, 2024, the CTU Elite High School held the solemn Opening Ceremony of the 2024 - 2025 school year, in the cheerful and enthusiastic atmosphere of students across the country beginning the new school year.

The ceremony was attended by Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Trung Tinh, Principal of Can Tho University; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hai, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Can Tho City; along with former leaders, Board of Directors, Representative Board of Parents' Association, cadres, teachers, staff, and all CTU Elite High School students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Trung Tinh acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and outstanding achievements that the teachers and students of our school have gained over the past time. Can Tho University is committed to always accompanying, supporting, and creating the most favorable conditions for CTU Elite High School to develop and reach its full potential. The Principal stated that in the 2023-2024 academic year, CTU Elite High School had over 80% of excellent students, and 100% of grade 12 students graduated from high school. This is a proud achievement of all the school’s teachers, and student.

Within the program, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hai read a congratulatory letter from General Secretary and President To Lam to the education letter on the occasion of the opening of the 2024-2025 school year, emphasizing: “Education and training need to focus on human development and happiness, maximizing the human factor, and treating people as the center, subject, resource, and goal of development, laying the groundwork for achieving the goals of a prosperous people, strong country, democracy, fairness, and civilization. In the spirit of the new school year, I believe that students will strive to study, cultivate, absorb, and master their knowledge, acquire core competencies, and set great aspirations for a more prosperous and happy country”.

Associate Professor Dr. Tran Van Minh, Principal of CTU Elite High School, delivered the opening speech, evaluating and recognizing the collective and individual achievements of the previous school year, and officially announcing the start of the new school year 2024-2025. He also proudly stated that CTU Elite High School students are not only good at studying, obedient, and courteous, but they are also schooled in basic moral values such as honesty, sincerity, confidence, steadfastness, consistency, and courage in order to be resistant to negative habits. Furthermore, teachers, officers, and staff members of the School constantly do their duties with enthusiasm for their profession and a strong sense of responsibility, possess exceptional professional qualifications, and meet employment criteria.

The ceremony also served as an opportunity to recognize 215 outstanding students who passed the school entrance exam; to reward students who excelled in the 10th-grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year, as well as excellent student selection exams; and to present certificates of merit to teachers who succeeded in teaching and nurturing students in excellent student exams for the 2023-2024 school year.

Student Ho Truc Lam, class 10B1, valedictorian of Elite High School's 10th-grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year, expressed her excitement for the new academic year.

In the recent 10th-grade entrance exam, CTU Elite High School was the school with the highest entrance score in Can Tho City with 38.9 points. Ho Truc Lam, a 10B1 student, scored 46.80 points and was named the school's valedictorian for the 10th-grade entrance exam.

Dr. Huynh Anh Huy, Head of the Faculty of Pedagogy, presented certificates of merit and awards, along with an international exchange trip in the school's 2024-2025 training plan.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hai awarded certificates of merit and prizes to students with high achievements in the Math and Natural Science competitions in English and French for the 2023-2024 school year.

After 13 years of establishment and development, CTU Elite High School has gradually affirmed its training quality and built its position as one of the best quality high schools in Can Tho City; this is also the only high school in the Mekong Delta developing according to the model of a high-quality public school. The new school year 2024 - 2025 is the first year that high schools across the country implement Conclusion No. 91-KL/TW of the Politburo on continuing to implement Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW and deploying the new General Education Program in all grades from grade 1 to grade 12; with the determination and consensus of the Board of Directors, teachers, and all students, CTU High School will seriously and focus on implementing the Party and State's policy set out for the education sector in the 2024 - 2025 school year: "Innovation, quality improvement, solidarity, and discipline".
