Can Tho University Elite High School Organizes the Conference on Enhancing the Quality of Literature Teaching for the 2025–2026 Academic Year

On the morning of December 14, 2025, Can Tho University Elite High School successfully hosted the Conference on Enhancing the Quality of Literature Teaching for the 2025–2026 academic year. The conference was one of the school’s key professional activities, aimed at strengthening teachers’ professional capacity and providing a forum for educators from different schools to meet and exchange teaching experiences. The event attracted the participation of more than 140 Literature teachers from across Can Tho City.
In her opening remarks, Associate Professor, PhD Huynh Thi Thuy Diem, Vice Principal in charge of Can Tho University Elite High School, warmly welcomed the distinguished delegates and teachers in attendance. She emphasized the school’s aspiration to establish the conference as an important academic forum for in-depth sharing and professional exchange, thereby contributing to the overall improvement of Literature teaching quality throughout the city.
The conference program focused on two main activities with practical content, particularly emphasizing students’ examination and writing skills:
1. Activity 1: Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong (Can Tho University Elite High School) delivered a presentation on advanced approaches to reading comprehension of poetry, combined with practical guidance on writing analytical paragraphs in literary criticism.
2. Activity 2: Ms. Pham Tran Hong Van (Ly Tu Trong High School for the Gifted) presented a report on guiding students to write social argumentative essays based on issues derived from literary works, offering effective perspectives and writing techniques.
The conference atmosphere was highly dynamic and constructive. With a spirit of openness, professionalism, and mutual support, participating teachers actively raised questions, engaged in in-depth discussions, and exchanged practical experiences related to key issues in Literature teaching. This frank and collegial exchange helped clarify many existing concerns and opened up new directions for teaching practice, particularly in preparing students for the National Upper Secondary Graduation Examination.
Speaking at the conference, Ms. Lam My Phuong, an official from the Can Tho City Department of Education and Training, expressed her sincere appreciation to the Organizing Committee of Can Tho University Elite High School. She expressed her hope that such conferences would continue to serve as valuable opportunities for Literature teachers to meet, engage in professional exchange, and contribute to the development of a strong and high-quality teaching workforce.
At the conclusion of the conference, all participating teachers departed with a sense of enthusiasm and satisfaction, carrying with them valuable knowledge and practical experience. The success of the conference serves as a strong motivation for Can Tho University Elite High School to continue organizing meaningful professional development activities in the future.
