Can Tho University Elite High School: Vibrant Cultural Exchange Activities with National Taiwan University of Science and Technology

From August 26 to 29, 2026, Can Tho University Elite High School collaborated with the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) to organize a series of engaging cultural and academic exchange activities.

Students enthusiastically participated in three thematic sessions featuring a variety of engaging and hands-on experiences, creating a lively and dynamic atmosphere throughout the first day of the program.

Thematic Session 1: Taiwanese Cultural Exchange

In the first session, Taiwanese Cultural Exchange, students had the opportunity to make traditional Taiwanese bubble milk tea themselves—one of Taiwan’s most iconic beverages. They also learned about the fascinating culture of Taiwanese tea, from its historical origins to contemporary tea-drinking traditions. This was truly a delightful experience that combined enjoyment with meaningful cultural learning.

Thematic Session 2: Character Education

In the second session, Character Education, students explored the Five Love Languages through a creative collaborative drawing activity. The activity not only helped students recognize different ways of expressing and receiving love and care, but also integrated character and aesthetic education through art while connecting naturally with themes related to Taiwanese culture.

The classroom atmosphere became increasingly lively as students freely expressed their creativity and individuality through their artwork.

Thematic Session 3: Social and Emotional Learning

The third session, Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), featured the “Farmer Family” SEL Board Game, a board game designed to simulate resource allocation while encouraging teamwork and emotional resilience.

Taking on the roles of farmers, students worked together to make decisions in a variety of situations. Through the game, they developed important skills such as cooperation, perseverance, problem-solving, and effective emotional management.

The series of activities continued through August 29, 2026, attracting nearly 300 students.

In Janruary 2024, teachers and students from CTU-EHS also visited NTUST, one of Taiwan's leading universities specializing in science and technology, widely known as Taiwan Tech. Following this visit, a number of students from CTU-EHS have chosen NTUST as their destination for undergraduate and graduate studies.

The program provided a valuable opportunity for students of Can Tho University Elite High School to engage in cultural and language exchange with lecturers and students from Taiwan. Their enthusiasm and active participation contributed greatly to the success of the program, while also opening up new opportunities for educational collaboration and international exchange in the future.
