OPENING CEREMONY OF THE 2025–2026 ACADEMIC YEAR
In the jubilant atmosphere across the nation welcoming the new academic year, on the morning of September 5, 2025, the Can Tho University Elite High School (CTU-EHS) solemnly held the Opening Ceremony of the 2025–2026 academic year. This year is of special significance as it coincides with the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training). In harmony with educational institutions nationwide, CTU-EHS live-streamed the National Opening Ceremony organized with great solemnity at the National Convention Center in Hanoi. This occasion allowed teachers and students to reflect on the glorious tradition of the education sector while affirming their determination to innovate, be creative, and strive for a new academic year marked by achievement and quality.
The ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hieu Trung, Vice President of Can Tho University (CTU), and leaders of the School of Education, CTU. On the part of CTU-EHS, former leaders, the School Board of Management, the Parents’ Association, faculty members, staff, and all students were present.

At the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Minh, Principal of CTU-EHS, delivered the opening speech and officially declared the new school year open. He emphasized that after 14 years of formation and development, CTU-EHS has affirmed its prestige and educational quality, becoming a trusted address for parents and students. The school not only focuses on imparting knowledge but also on nurturing moral character, helping students grow into confident, resilient individuals with a strong cultural identity. With a team of highly qualified and dedicated teachers (100% holding a Master’s degree or higher) and as the only high-quality public high school model in the Mekong Delta region, the school is committed to continued innovation, upholding traditions, and building a “happy school” environment—where every day at school is a joyful day.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hieu Trung highly commended the efforts and achievements of CTU-EHS over the past 14 years, as reflected in its consistent 100% high school graduation rate, high average scores across all subjects, and 100% student admission into top universities nationwide. Notably, students are not only academically excellent but also well-trained in morality and character, earning recognition and trust from the community. This stands as strong evidence of the tireless dedication of the school’s administrators, teachers, and students, contributing to the prestige and reputation of CTU-EHS within the Mekong Delta’s general education system, and demonstrating CTU’s social responsibility toward Can Tho City and the region.

Furthermore, the 2025–2026 academic year coincides with the 60th anniversary of Can Tho University and the 15th anniversary of CTU-EHS. On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hieu Trung expressed his expectation that teachers and students will continue to promote traditions, foster creativity, implement meaningful initiatives, and achieve new accomplishments to strengthen the school’s position. He affirmed CTU’s commitment to accompanying, supporting, and providing the best possible conditions for the school’s development toward becoming an international-standard institution that meets the learning and local study-abroad needs of students in the Mekong Delta region.
