The program began with a deeply moving short play entitled “Walking in the Sound of the Guitar.” A1K12 chose a profoundly meaningful theme—the re-enactment of the devastating pain of war. The stage seemed to sink into a mournful atmosphere as powerful symbolic imagery unfolded. The climactic moment, which left the audience in silence, was when the bullet pierced through the son’s chest. Yet the pain did not end with that individual sacrifice; as A1K12 narrated, that seemingly lifeless bullet also pierced the mother’s heart. This striking metaphor emphasized that the loss of a soldier represents not only personal tragedy but also the heartbreak of those left behind—a wound deeply etched into the nation’s memory.

However, the performance did not end in sorrow. To fully convey the spirit of resilience, the poignant play was seamlessly paired with an energetic mashup dance performance. Set to the powerful melodies of “Tiếng đàn Ta Lư” and “Người Việt” (“The Sound of the T’rưng” and “The Vietnamese”), A1K12 performed vigorous, decisive movements that radiated determination. This transition brought forth a surge of vitality, embodying the indomitable spirit and steadfast will of the Vietnamese soldiers during the wars of resistance. The combination of tragedy and strength vividly portrayed the heroic essence of those who fought for their homeland.

The members of A1K12 sincerely expressed their appreciation to their beloved teachers—those who had guided and nurtured them throughout the past three years.
