The Vibrant Western-Style Wedding Ceremony in B2K12’s Monday Performance

The B2K12 class brought a lively and heartwarming atmosphere filled with the essence of the Mekong Delta to their Monday morning performance on October 27, 2025, at Can Tho University Elite High School.

The show was elaborately staged with the theme of a Western-style wedding, gracefully hosted by two MCs — Chanh Nguyen and Khanh An. The program opened with poetic verses celebrating love and marriage:

"The bride, graceful and fair,

Shy and gentle by her groom’s side,

Together they walk in harmony, bound by deep affection."

At the start of the ceremony, the MCs warmly welcomed all teachers, students, and “guests from both families.” The first part of the event was the speeches from representatives of both sides.

Representing the groom’s family, Mrs. Tran Nguyen Ngoc Minh (the groom’s mother) expressed her heartfelt thanks to the guests for attending and wished everyone good health and happiness. She also sent her blessings to the newlyweds, Phuc and Kim, wishing them “a hundred years of happiness.”

In response, Mrs. Nguyen Ngoc Van Quynh, representing the bride’s family, shared her joy on this auspicious day. With humor, she expressed her hope of finding a good husband for her daughter Thien Kim, so she could “depend on her later,” while also thanking everyone for joining in their happiness.

Love – A Never-Ending Story:

Before the main wedding ritual, the script cleverly incorporated meaningful reflections on love. The MC emphasized that love is not only found in marriage but also in the sacred bond between parents and their children. Love, they said, “is an endless story filled with emotions and countless shades.” When two hearts beat as one, they long to be connected — “like birds sharing the same wing, like leaves growing from the same branch.”

MC Chanh Nguyen concluded emotionally, “To love and to be loved is the greatest happiness in one’s life.” Following this heartfelt message, the wedding ceremony officially began.

The “Time-Filler” Drama and the Matching Game

Midway through the event, a moment of unexpected suspense arose as the MCs had to “buy time.” Khanh An and Chanh Nguyen whispered to each other to handle a brief delay. Calmly, the MCs reassured the audience, joking that the bride Thien Kim was “a bit nervous and shy,” and kindly asked everyone to wait patiently.

To keep the energy high, “Auntie No.2” and “Miss No.4” performed a cheerful rendition of “Ideal Hut”, wishing the couple “one hundred year happy.”

Next, the MCs hosted a fun game called “The Perfect Match”, randomly pairing one person from the groom’s side with one from the bride’s side to sing a duet. The lucky pair — Nhu Y (the bride’s close friend) and Loc (the groom’s best friend) — impressed everyone. The MCs praised them as a “perfectly matched and beautiful couple.”

The Climax and Closing Remarks

After the entertaining interludes, the long-awaited wedding of Thien Kim and Xuan Phuc officially began. On this joyful day, the groom Phuc also shared heartfelt words dedicated to his beloved bride.

The final and most anticipated part of the ceremony was the Bouquet Toss, where Chanh Nguyen invited all students to join in the fun.

In conclusion, MC Khanh An announced that the performances had come to an end, marking both the conclusion of the wedding event and the completion of B2K12’s 1,000-day journey under the roof of Can Tho University Elite High School.

On behalf of the class, Khanh An and Chanh Nguyen expressed their sincere gratitude to all teachers and students, as well as to the school administration, for giving them such a radiant and memorable youth.
