Can Tho University Expands Cooperation with Taiwanese Institutions: Connecting Knowledge, Advancing Education, and Promoting International Integration.

In the context of increasingly profound internationalization in education, expanding cooperation with global educational institutions not only contributes to enhancing the quality of education and scientific research, but also creates broader opportunities for academic exchange, cultural connection, and the development of high-quality human resources in an era of global integration. With this vision, on May 21, 2026, Can Tho University organized a reception and signing ceremony for Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with universities and high schools from Taiwan.

Attending the program were Prof. Wei-Chih Lin - Education Counselor of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City; Prof. Hung-Jung Tsai - Rector of WuFeng University; Prof. Ming-Chih Chen - Rector of National Taitung University Affiliated Physical Education Senior High School; along with leaders and faculty representatives from Taiwanese partners. Representing Can Tho University were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Trung Tinh - Rector; Dr. Le Van Lam - Vice Rector; along with representatives of relevant units.

During the working session, Can Tho University officially signed an MoU with WuFeng University, while the Can Tho University Elite High School also signed a cooperation agreement with National Taitung University Affiliated Physical Education Senior High School. The cooperation focuses on academic exchange, cultural interaction, scientific research, and the implementation of international experiential programs for students, pupils, and lecturers from both sides, thereby expanding educational connectivity and further advancing Can Tho University’s internationalization strategy in the new era.

The continued expansion of cooperation with Taiwanese universities and high schools further reaffirmed Can Tho University’s pioneering role in advancing the internationalization of education in the Mekong Delta region. More than a partnership between educational institutions, these collaborations serve as bridges of knowledge, culture, and shared aspirations for development, contributing to the creation of a modern, humanistic, and globally integrated academic environment where learners are fully equipped with the competencies needed to adapt and thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
